Hi, we’re Loreto Co.
I’m Emily Tate! I am a wife, a mother of five, and a list-loving entrepreneur. I founded Loreto Co. in 2024 with a desire to stay home with my children and to help faithful individuals and their families pursue their dreams within the reasonable boundaries of their God-given vocations.
As soon as I got married in 2016, I knew I wanted to have a creative outlet that helped support our family’s income. I started making wedding invitations and decor for friends and family, which turned into a successful event business for several years. After having a couple children, this gig turned into a company called Pillar & Pearl, which specialized in Catholic special occasion gift boxes. We found such a fruitful partnership in Kendra Tierney and Catholic All Year, that we eventually closed our other businesses, moved homes, and spent three years helping to grow this awesome liturgical living brand. While we loved it and learned so much, the time came for us all to give more time to our families and to close down such a large-scale operation. So, Loreto Co. was born!
As someone who has always loved doing a little bit of everything, this company encompasses all the aspects of my life and puts to use the skills I’ve learned along the way. Loreto Co. specializes in business support, including web design, planning/management, and fulfillment, as well as home-based education, like homeschool resources and more.
This is the first job I’ve ever worked that has felt totally mine. I think it’s because I carefully created it to fit within the beautiful confines of my vocation as a wife and a mom. It lets me share my talents, my ideas, and my voice with the world and to encourage others to do the same, while always orienting me back to God and to my home, where I most belong. I love to share the things I create for my home and my children, in case others can benefit from them as well, and I am very passionate about supporting other God-loving entrepreneurs to realize their business goals and dreams in the way that best suits their talents and needs.
I was going to include a personal little blurb about what I do in my spare time. . . but as you can probably guess if you’ve read this far, I don’t really believe in spare time, ha! Most days you can find me on our five-acre homestead in the Blue Ridge Mountains, chasing children and chickens, and starting too-ambitious house projects at inopportune times.
I like fun Facebook marketplace finds, trips to Target, sourdough recipes, and my five siblings. Thanks for reading, and I’m glad you’re here!
